Warung Mbak Arin is a paradise for sambal and spicy food enthusiast. But not only. Opened March 2018, the tiny family business warung is the place to go in Ubud if you like piquant Indonesian food. Mbak Arin is native of Jember, East Java, and her Halal grandma’s cooking has become, in no time, a favourite among Ubud foodies.
Specialized in sambal with no less than 14 variations, all made a la minute, diners can either order à la carte among several hot chicken recipes such as the popular Ayam Jeletot Sambal Ijo (green chilli fried chicken), Ceker Setan (super-spicy demonic chicken feet) and many other classics from fish to vegetables, or simply Nasi Campur from the front window display, proposing many non-spicy items.
Nasi Kotak (lunch box package) available upon request.
