Serving an array of contemporary cuisine inspired and rooted in Latin flavors and traditions, MAIZE is a cosy, vibrant eatery in Berawa/Canggu. The food menu is crafted by Jethro Vincent, well-known in Bali, and the restaurant founder himself, Joshua Adjodha brings his expertise and deep experience in fusion and food. The chef duo's creations pay tribute to the indigenous goodness of Latin America, with sprinkles of South East Asian flavor to complete the distinctive, unique taste. Their creations define 'Contemporary Latin Cuisine'.
The Refried Bean & Chickpea Hummus, Coitija, Sazón, Coriander & Pita was deliciously creamy, zesty, smooth and vibrant! Easy to share, this dip is a crowd pleaser! The Pescado Baja is a delicious tortilla filled with Fish Tempura topped with Chipotle Mayo, Cabbage, Coriander, and Lime. It comes with a refreshing Pico de Gallo on the side, which makes it even tastier. We could really taste the fish, meaning the piece was big enough and the batter wasn't overwhelming. Highly recommended.
The drink menu is created by award-winning mixologist Harris Mahendra, and it features Latin-inspired spirits that perfectly complement the restaurant's cuisine. You can enjoy one of Maize's signature cocktails on the colorful patio before heading inside for dinner. The inside dining area is air-conditioned and has comfortable booth seating and high-top tables.
