Uma Garden Bali is a fire-based kitchen restaurant located in the Umalas - Petitenget’s shortcut. The restaurant is designed as a neighbourhood hotspot, with a rustic ambiance and a trendy, vibrant vibe. The large semi-covered terrace, surrounded by rice paddies, makes it a characteristic and cheerful place to visit.
As you enter, the lounge and bar area warmly greet guests, showcasing a selection of creative cocktails made with imported wines, smoky spirits, and craft beers. From the lounge, guests are then led to the dining area where a theatrical open-flame kitchen takes centre stage. Chefs around the world are increasingly interested in cooking with smoke and flame because it can impart unique flavours to food. This cooking method is one of the oldest and most primitive, and it is becoming popular again due to the prodigious savours it can produce.
The garden, which is the heart and soul of the restaurant, consists of communal dining tables that encourage a sharing experience. Homemade Beef Croquettes on a Burnt Eggplant Emulsion, Argentinian-Style Empanada with Chimichurri and Salsa Criolla, a pasta selection, and for the main, of course, everything is prepared on the open-fire BBQ. Be it the delicate and tender one kilo Grilled Grouper with Burnt Rosemary, Kaffir Lime and Capers Clarified Butter, the juicy Striploin Steak with its smoky, charred barbecue taste, or the Pork Ribs BBQ with Pork Demi-Glace Sauce, it will delight any fan of this cooking method. Don’t miss the Grilled Cabbage with Homemade Black Truffle Emulsion or the Roasted Pumpkin with Honey Glaze and Chili Flakes, with their lovely caramelization.
