The month of August is the busiest period on the island, with parties and events all-over on any given day. Canggu/Berawa becoming one of the most iconic region, no surprise some major events start to take place over there.
Fueled by a contagious passion for the people and places that make Canggu worth celebrating, the 1st Berawa Food & Wine Festival infused home-grown flavour with top local eateries, insular winemakers, artisans, entertainers and culinary enthusiasts from around the globe for a one-day event, August 10th,2019 at Tamora Gallery, the only family shopping mall in Bali. Since it was a family & community event, the organisers chose to support this year, Solemen Indonesia, a non-profit organisation, raising several million rupiahs to help the disadvantaged people of Bali.

The festival ran from 10am to 10pm non-stop. In addition to the 40-plus regular shops of the arcade, over 30 vendors from street food to gourmet fare, local wineries to mixology, eco-living concept to sustainable fashion were showcased. The event featured an entertainment area with several concerts from music schools’ students, the teen's band Rewind, two popular indie-rock artists, Dee’s Quartet and the Ubudian Collective, and a remarkable jazz performance by the Ubud Village Jazz Festival All-Star. Not to forget the amazing dancer LaDibi. Families were thrilled to find fun & instructive kid’s activities, a surf simulation demonstration at the skate bowl area,
and several food & wine workshops and tastings, all for free.
The event presented rich and colourful moments for 4000 guests through the day, to taste, savour and explore Bali culinary scene and beyond, from local trends to international traditions. See you at #BWFWF2020!
