Introducing Two Islands Sparkling Chardonnay and Two Islands Rosé
If you follow us, you know we love to share our experience with you. This time we would like to introduce some wines, a Rosé and a Sparkling Chardonnay, the two latest addition of the Two Islands family from the Hatten Wines Bali Winery. Innovative, dynamic and attractive range of quality wines from forward-thinking local producer, Hatten Wines.
Whether it’s a BBQ party, over a sunset or even an afternoon refreshment around the pool, there’s always an occasion for as a glass of chilled rosé wine on a hot day.
The recently launched Two Islands Rosé is a new world wine based on the traditions of the Côtes de Provence, despite its unique composition. The subtle blend of Grenache and Pinot Grigio produces a very inviting shade of pink with an aromatic floral nose on opening, light, crisp and filled with delicate rose petal, raspberry, citrus flavours and a refreshing minerality, thanks to the limestone soil found in the vineyards of the South Australia region.
Its thirst-quenching style, extremely well-balanced with a smooth as silk finish, exposes the softer and fruity side of this wine. Perfect pairing for babi guling and any pork dish or to accompany salads and light meals.
Make sure it’s perfectly chilled before serving.
There’s nothing better than the sound of a sparkling wine cork popping into the air and the sweet music of the bubbles rising into the glass. Easy to drink, the light body Two Islands Sparkling Chardonnay is a méthode Champenoise, made in Bali, using grapes from vineyards of South Australia’s Adelaide Hills and Limestone Coast.
Following the traditional French technique, this bottle fermented and aged sur-lies for minimum 12 months displays a nice fizziness. It opens with a bouquet of blossom Freesias, a generous hint of apricot and peach palate but also with layers of marmalade and some kind of toasted nuts. Tangy citrus fruits cut through to provide some welcome crisp acidity that complements the creamier toasted aromas.
The appropriate occasion for this wine is absolutely anytime. The perfect thing to serve your guests if you need to introduce another remarkable made-in-Bali’s creation. A lovely complement to delicate hors d’oeuvres made from smoked fish, as well as sushi or ceviche.
